Household savings up 7.6% in a year
Estonian households had saving amounting to 5.6 billion euros at the end of August, up 7.6 percent compared to 12 months ago.
Business cash reserves jumped even more, increasing 9.6 percent to 4.7 billion euros, Bank of Estonia said.
The combined loan portfolio of households and businesses was 15.8 billion euros, up 3.5 percent since the same period a year ago. Total sum of mortgages increased 3.9 percent in a year.
