Gallery: UK, Nordic and Baltic prime ministers meet in Reykjavik
The Northern Future Forum brought together for the fifth time the Prime Ministers of the Nordic and Baltic countries, and the United Kingdom, to discuss future trends in northern Europe.
Estonian Prime Minister Taavi Rõivas said that it is precisely Nordic countries who can be leaders of innovation in Europe.
As well as prime ministers, experts and entrepreneurs gathered in Reykjavik to discuss the creation of smarter and more people-centered public services and creative industries’ contribution to economic growth.
“Innovation does not happen on it’s own. You have to work for it, share ideas, occasionally fail and learn from the experiences of others as well,” Rõivas said.
Rõivas expressed hope that increased cooperation between countries will facilitate better quality and scope of services. “I hope that one day we will have digital data exchange and Europe-wide e-services.” he said in Reykjavik.
