Postimees: How Estonia's coronavirus app failed
Estonia's coronavirus notification app HOIA, which launched last summer, has not managed to reach its potential in terms of helping contain the virus, daily newspaper Postimees reported earlier this week.
Experts attribute the application's failure to a series of mistakes but the Ministry of Social Affairs considers the app a success despite its shortcomings saying it is only part of the strategy to fight against the virus.
The Health Board's data shows the app has been downloaded 266,724 times.
