Industrial producer price index increases 1.5 percent on year in January
According to figures released by Statistics Estonia on Tuesday, in January 2017, the producer price index of industrial output increased by one percent month over month and by 1.5 percent year over year.
Compared to the previous month, the producer price index was affected more than average in January by an increase in prices in the manufacture of fuel oils, food products and wood as well as in mining and quarrying, but also by a decrease in the prices of electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply as well as in the manufacture of electrical equipment.

In January 2017, the export price index changed by 0.6 percent compared to December 2016 and by 5.5 percent compared to January 2016.
Compared to the previous month, the prices of parts and accessories for motor vehicles, wood and wood products as well as oil products increased more than average in January, while the prices of electrical equipment and building materials decreased more than average.
In January of this year, the import price index changed by 1.3 percent month over month and by 5.7 percent year over year.
In January, compared to the previous month, the prices of oil products, agricultural products and chemical products increased more than average, while the prices of electricity, building materials, footwear and leather products decreased more than average.
