Linda Line sells ships, office premises
After almost 25 years of operating its express ferry route between Tallinn and Helsinki, Linda Line sold both of its catamaran ferries as well as its business premises last year, daily Õhtuleht reported on Thursday.
The second of the two catamarans, Karolin, was currently moored in BLRT Group's operational harbor in Tallinn's Kopli subdistrict, the paper wrote.
The ship will no longer be sailing under the Estonian flag. Its entry in the Estonian register was deleted in December, and its new owner, Greek shipper Golden Star Ferries, has placed its own crew on the ship.
According to data of the Maritime Administration, Linda Line's other ship, the Merilin, was deleted from the Estonian ships register last February already and sold to Korea.
Apparently Linda Line also sold its business premises in Tallinn a few months ago. The property on Tallinn's Ädala Street has been put up for sale by its new owner at a price of €800,000.
According to Õhtuleht, Linda Line CEO Enn Rohula wasn't available for comment. Rohula told ERR's Estonian news only in September last year that the company was planning to replace Merilin with a new ship.
