Ministry to Buy 500 Board Games to Promote Life in the Countryside
The Ministry of Agriculture will purchase 500 “Agricola” board games for 22,050 euros to promote farming and countryside life among the youth.
“It’s a large strategy game that has for years been a bestselling board game. The point is that four to six players build and operate a farm,” said the ministry’s press representative, Hindrek Riikoja, to Postimees.ee.
“One of our biggest tasks is to promote country life and farming, especially among youth. We plan to hand out the board games and organize tournaments. It’s a marketing tool,” said Riikoja.
The procurement organized for purchasing the games was won by Brain Games Ltd. Each game costs 44 euros.
