Daniel Vaarik Receives Award for Journalistic Excellence
Daniel Vaarik, whom ERR News interviewed a month ago, was applauded for his journalistic excellence with a prize founded by Estonian media investor and former journalist Hans H. Luik.
Vaarik earned the award for analysis on his blog, Memokraat, of the controversy surrounding the construction of the monument in Tallinn dedicated to the victorious Estonian War of Independence.
Vaarik is a freelance consultant and former director of the Government Communications Office and of Hill & Knowlton Estonia.
