Tartu airport serves record number of passengers in September

Tartu Airport served a record-setting 2,827 passengers on the Tartu-Helsinki air route connecting Southern Estonia to the capital of its northern neighbor during the month of September.
September's new record broke the airport's previous record for passenger traffic set just one month prior, when 2,771 people flew on the Tartu-Helsinki route. September's load factor on the Finnair flights serving the route averaged 69 percent.
During the first nine months of 2016, Tartu Airport served a total of 22,037 passengers, including 21,829 on Finnair flights and 208 on charter flights.
Last year's total number of passengers on regular flights, 20,708, was beaten by 1,121 passengers within the first three quarters of this year, and October bookings once again considerably surpass the previous year's figures.
