Enefit Solutions supplying air, gas piping for UK power plant
Eesti Energia subsidiary Enefit Solutions is producing air and gas pipes for one of the United Kingdom’s biggest biofuel power plants close to Middlesbrough in North Yorkshire in the Northeast of England.
The first batches will be sent from Jõhvi to the UK this month, and the project ends in the middle of 2018. The power plant is expected to cost €770 million and will be added to the network in early 2020.
According to member of Enefit Solutions’ management, Liisi Tamre, the project is important for the company and will amount to about of a quarter of its output capacity for the period of the project.
“At the moment we are not planning to hire any more workers. The contract volume is 800 tons of metal construction. Enefit Solutions has more than ten years’ experience with similar projects in Scandinavia and across the world,” Tamre told ETV’s Aktuaalne Kaamera newscast.
