Up to 100 participants permitted at indoor public events from June 1
The government on Thursday decided that from June 1 to June 30, public events may be organized with 100 participants instead of a maximum of 50 people. Adherence to the 2+2 rule and a maximum occupancy of 50 percent of a space's occupancy limit applies for indoor spaces.
The mitigation in question applies to public events such as cinemas, theaters and concerts, as well as to meetings and visits to casinos and slot machines in the entertainment sector, the government's communications office announced on Thursday.
The requirements established for public events also apply for basic schools, upper-secondary general schools, vocational schools and institutions of higher education and in the organization of refresher training institutions, open youth centers and hobby activities and hobby education, with the exception of the research and development activities of universities and research institutes.
Until June 30, the 2+2 rule and the limit of up to 100 participants also applies for indoor spectatorless sports events. Outdoor sporting events are permitted to be carried out with spectators, whereas the limit of up to 100 participants still applies.
