Estonia extends flight ban to high covid risk countries until June 21

Minister of Economic Affairs and Infrastructure Taavi Aas (Center) has extended the flight ban until June 21 for connections from Estonia to countries with a high coronavirus infection rates.
The restriction had been previously imposed until June 7.
The restriction extended until June 21 concerns Sweden, the UK, Portugal, Belarus, the United States and Russia as of Thursday.
The minister signed the first order on May 17.
In order for it to be possible for an air route from Estonia to be opened, the rate of infection in the country of destination must be 25 people or less per 100,000 inhabitants during the past 14 days.
The Estonian ministry reviews the epidemiological situation in the countries of destination and makes adjustments to the list of countries covered by the restrictions on a daily basis.
