Cornerstone laid during Kärdla square reconstruction
The construction of Kärdla's central square on the island of Hiiumaa is halfway through and on Friday the cornerstone was laid.
Within the framework of the Republic of Estonia 100 program "Good Public Space", more than 9,000 square meters of space will be transformed in the heart of Kärdla. A flag pole, shopping and recreation areas, a fountain and a playground will be built.
The architectural solution was designed by MARELD in cooperation with Born-stein Lycke-fors. Merko Ehitus will construct the square by November, which will cost almost €1.9 million.
