Minister of Culture appoints new board member to national opera
Minister of Culture Tõnis Lukas signed a directive recalling Arne Mikk from the council of the Estonian National Opera and appointed Kerri Kotta in his place.
Lukas (Isamaa) said: "As a professor at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theater and a long-term participant in Estonian music life, Kerri Kotta has a comprehensive view of the development needs of Estonian music and theater."
Kerri Kotta is a music theorist and composer, professor of music theory at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theater.
He is the editor-in-chief of several publications and the head of professional associations. The mandate of the Chamber in the National Opera Council will last until May 5, 2022.
