Prime Minister Jüri Ratas acknowledged French President François Hollande for maintaining the EU's decision-making capability and presented the French head of state with a photograph of the French troops stationed at Tapa in Brussel on Saturday.

Ratas thanked France for ensuring the security of both Europe and Estonia, a telling example of which is the participation of French troops in the NATO battalion-sized battle group stationed at Tapa, spokespeople for the government told BNS on Saturday.

The Estonian prime minister presented Hollande, who was participating in a meeting of the European Council for the last time, with a photo of the French troops taken at Tapa as a memento.
