Disputes Committee Rescinds Tallinn Tram Contract

The public procurement disputes committee has cancelled the results of Tallinn's tender for acquiring new vehicles for tram route number four.
Tallinn City Transport announced in November that the public procurement contract went to Spain's Construcciones y Axiliar de Ferrocariles.
But Stadler Bussnang, a Swiss company, disputed the outcome and the disputes committee ruled in their favor.
The committee said in Monday's decision that Tallinn must also pay an 850-euro fine to the company.
Tallinn has seven more days to challenge the decision.
