Six new coronavirus cases diagnosed overnight
Six new cases of coronavirus were diagnosed in the last 24 hours, the Health Board said on Friday. In total, 884 tests were analyzed and 0.7 percent were positive.
Three of the tests were recorded in Tallinn, and three in Ida-Viru County. New cases are mostly related to contact with previously infected family members. One of the new cases was also brought in from outside of Estonia.
As of Friday morning, 14 people in Estonia need hospital treatment due to the coronavirus, there are no patients using ventilators. To date, 357 people have been discharged from hospital
No new deaths occurred during the day. In total, the coronavirus has claimed the lives of 69 people in Estonia.
A total of 94,716 primary tests have been carried out so far and 1,970 or 2.1 percent have tested positive for the SARS-CoV-2 virus.
