The board of literary festival HeadRead has decided to cancel the event for 2020, bringing out the recent outbreaks of COVID-19 infections around the world and in Estonia.
HeadRead was scheduled to take place on September 9-13, already having been re-scheduled from May due to developments of the coronavirus pandemic.
A virtual festival will be held in September, allowing those interested in literature to still experience the festival.
On the second week of Septebmer, ERR's Jupiter platform will stream conversations with HeadRead authors, with the best of the festival specially chosen.
Organizers of the festival also recommend keeping an eye on the event's Facebook page and homepage, where reading recommendations and other literary news can be found.
The next HeadRead festival is currently scheduled for May 26-30 2021.
