Tax revenues unchanged on year to July

Tax revenues remained at the same level as in July last year, though on a monthly basis, they increased 8 percent, to €734.2 million.
The state received €102.3 million of income tax in July, which is 6 percent higher than during the same time last year and 16 percent higher than in June this year. As a result, the state received income tax by private persons which had decreased by 3 percent, but from legal persons it had increased by 21 percent.
The inflow of the turnover tax fell by 5 percent; compared to June, it increased by 7 percent to €209.4 million.
The state received €326.2 million of social security taxes in July, which is the same amount as a year ago. Compared withJune, receipts increased by 4 percent.
The state received €2 million in gambling taxes in July, which is 9 percent less than a year earlier, but 32 percent more than in June.
€25 million of alcohol taxes was received in July this year, which is 86 percent more than a year earlier.
€3.7 million of customs was paid in July, which is a 14 percent reduction compared with the same month last year. Compared with June 2020, however, excise receipts had recovered, and increased by 13 percent.
