Upper deck access to Tallinn airport closed until spring
As preparations begin for the expansion of the passenger terminal at Tallinn Airport, changes to traffic patterns in front of the terminal will go into effect beginning in November as upper deck access to the terminal will be closed to vehicular traffic.
Passengers will continue to be able to enter and exit the airport terminal from the upper deck's northern entrance as well as the lower deck's entrance.
Short term "kiss and fly" parking will temporarily be relocated to in front of the lower entrance to the terminal, and all taxis will likewise be directed to the lower entrance to drop off and pick up passengers. This traffic pattern will remain in effect at least through next spring.
In the course of the expansion work on the capital city airport's passenger terminal, the terminal's southern end will be expanded and lengthened to accommodate a new preflight security check area, the total area of guest reception rooms will be increased, a new restaurant space will be added with a scenic view overlooking the runway and technical and work rooms needed to manage the airport will be built.
