Anett Kontaveit up 16 spots in women's tennis rankings

According to the fresh rankings released by the Women's Tennis Association (WTA) on Monday morning, Estonia's top tennis player Anett Kontaveit, 21, was ranked 52nd overall, an improvement of 16 spots.
Germany's Angelique Kerber, whom Kontaveit defeated in a career best 6:4, 6:0 at the Italian Open in Rome last Wednesday, remains in first place, followed by American Serena Williams and the Czech Republic's Karolína Plíšková.
Kaia Kanepi ranked 624th (-2) and Maileen Nuudi 1148th (+1) in the newly released rankings.
Last Friday, Kontaveit was defeated 6:2, 6:4 by Romania's Simona Halep (WTA 4) after defeating Kerber and advancing to the quarterfinals in the Italian Open.
Men's rankings
In Association of Tennis Players (ATP) rankings, Estonians Vladimir Ivanov, Jürgen Zopp and Kenneth Raisma ranked 412th (+1), 469th (-) and 706th (-8), respctively.
The U.K.'s Andy Murray continues to top the ATP rankings, followed by Serbian Novak Djokovic and Switzerland's Stan Wawrinka.
