Timmermans: It is important we concentrate on the future of Europe
Estonia is set to take over the Presidency of the Council of the EU from Malta. Estonian representatives asked First Vice-President of the European Commission Frans Timmermans for his comments on the Commission's expectations regarding the Estonian presidency.
A delegation from the European Union Affairs Committee of the Riigikogu is currently in Malta, where the final meeting of the parliamentary dimension of the Maltese presidency of the Council of the EU — the Plenary meeting of the Conference of Parliamentary Committees for Union Affairs of Parliaments of the European Union (COSAC) — is to take place, a Riigikogu spokesperson told ERR News.
Estonia's presidency of the Council of the EU will run from July to December of this year.
