Tallink adds more departures to new seasonal Tallinn-Turku route
The new seasonal Tallinn-Turku route announced on Monday has proven so popular already that Tallink Grupp has added more departures to the route in late July and early August.
Tallink's MS Baltic Queen will operate a total of 12 roundtrip trips between Tallinn and the Southwestern Finnish city of Turku this summer, having added departures on July 27, July 29, August 3, August 5, August 10 and August 12 to its schedule.
Tallink CEO Paavo Nõgene said: "The popularity of the Tallinn-Turku route demonstrates that our customers have really been looking forward to us launching this route and are using the opportunity to travel and discover Tallinn and Estonia directly from the Turku area, or to travel directly from Tallinn to Moominworld, Naantali resorts or Western Finland in general."
As interest in the route is significant and in order to ensure passengers' and employees' safety, the company decided to add extra departures to the route in order to ensure sufficient space for everyone on board, Nõgene added.
