Whole Lake Peipus basin off limits for ice activities as of Wednesday
The ice cover on Lake Peipus has become dangerously thin as a result of melting snow; as of Wednesday, it is prohibited to approach the border waters in any way to prevent fatalities.
Professional fishermen can still remove their fishing equipment from the lake ice on Wednesday.
