Korjus to Test at F1
Kevin Korjus, the 18-year-old Estonian race driver who just finished a highly successful rookie year in the Renault 3.5 Series, has been invited to test with the Renault team in the upcoming Formula 1 trials in Abu Dhabi.
Korjus will be joined in the mid-November trials for the Renault team by German DTM driver Christian Vietoris and Canadian Robert Wickens, who placed second in the GP3 Series in 2010, Postimees reported.
No matter what the outcome, the invite by team Renault is something of a coup for the Estonian, who will be one of very few teenagers to be testing this year. However Korjus's manager Raivo Tamm said that he didn't want to celebrate until it was a done deal.
"At the last stage in Catalonia I asked whether Kevin could do this test and it was confirmed. But I repeat that the it will only be a 100 percent sure thing when we are at the track," Tamm said.
