The first TAFF:fest is taking place in the courtyard of Haapsalu Castle on July 17-18.

The two-day festival will see many jazz musicians, but also rockstar Hendrik Sal-Saller and rapper Reket, who are not in contact with the genre daily, ETV's daily affairs show "Aktuaalne kaamera" reported on Friday.

The event is a continuation of jazz club TAFF Club in Tallinn.

Raivo Tafenau, head of the festival's art design, said that cooperation between artists from different genres creates unique synergy.

Tafenau said: "A lot of jazz is improvised and none of us actually know how the final product will shape out. It gives a certain freedom, flight and I'm certain that the bands and styles are completely justified."
