Klaas: 13 candidates apply to head Tartu University Hospital
Urmas Klaas, chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Tartu University Hospital (TÜK), told ERR on Tuesday there are several strong candidates for the vacant position of chairman of the board.
Klaas, who is also the mayor of Tartu, said a total of 13 applications were received for the competition which ended on July 13.
"There are a number of strong candidates among the nominees," he said but refused to name any applicants or specify previous experience.
Klaas said in the coming weeks, the recruitment company involved in finding the chairman of the board will conduct interviews with the candidates.
At the end of March, the council of the Tartu University Hospital dismissed Priit Eelmäe, the former head of the clinic.
