The North Prefecture of the Police and Border Guard Board has opened a criminal proceeding against Kristi Loigo, producer of the Kanal 2 charitable show "Kodutunne," based on a crime report filed by Kanal 2.

Kanal 2 has handed a report of criminal offense concerning the production company Ouetuba OÜ, the nonprofit MTÜ Kodutunne and their sole board member Kristi Loigo, formerly Kristi Nilov.

Kanal 2 suspects, following tip-offs, that not all donations raised by the "Kodutunne" television project have gone to charity as intended and a criminal offense may have been committed.

"The producer of the television project 'Kodutunne,' television producer Kristi Loigo, has been unable to submit to Kanal 2 information that would disprove the suspicions, therefore Kanal 2 was compelled to file a crime report to the police to establish the circumstances," AS Postimees Grupp, owner of Kanal 2 television station, said.

On July 10, the North District Prosecutor's Office asked Kanal 2 for additional information to decide whether to initiate proceedings with regard to the production company Ouetuba OÜ, MTÜ Kodutunne and their sole board member Kristi Loigo.
