Kuressaare-Tallinn flight tender winner to be announced in two weeks
The winner of the Tallinn-Kuressaare flight tender may be announced in two weeks. By that time, the Public Procurement Appeals Committee should have made a decision on whether the contest of Regional Jet OÜ regarding the recognition of NyxAir OÜ as a winner is justified.
The Kuressaare-Tallinn flight procurement will be carried out for four years and will cost €16.2 million.
Transaviabaltika currently operates the route with an 18-seater aircraft, and the new procurement will bring a larger aircraft to the route. The air procurement has been delayed for more than a year due to several disputes.
Meelis Telliskivi, the traffic director of the Road Administration, said the air procurement is currently in the appeal committee, where it is processed in writing.
According to Telliskivi, it is difficult to say whether the decision will be final, because it can still be challenged in Estonia as a state governed by the rule of law. According to him, the disputes concern the law of procurement.
