Weather: New week to bring some rainclouds
Monday morning starts cloudy, with some fog and showers in places, with a southwesterly breeze and temperatures of 8-11C.
As the day goes on, there will be intermittent rain across much of the country, with a chance of thunder in places, and southwesterlies of 4-7 m/s, with 11 m/s gusts. Daytime temperatures will be cooler in the islands and the northwest (15-16C) than in the south and east (18C).
Looking ahead to the rest of the week, conditions will get rainier on Tuesday, particularly in the islands but spreading across the whole country, thinning out on Wednesday where the sun might be spotted in places. This will continue through to Friday, with average daytime temperatures typical for September in the middle teens.
