Center Party board to discuss letters of guarantee after presidential elections

The meeting of the Center Party's Board of Directors which was slated to take place on Monday night has been postponed by a week.
Center Party Deputy Chairman Jaanus Karilaid told Estonian daily Postimees (link in Estonian) that it had been decided to delay the meeting until Sept. 26, as the expert legal analysis ordered from the Varul law office regarding two recently discovered letters of guarantee totaling 690,000 euros in value, which was expected to be completed by Sept. 19, had not yet been completed. It was likewise decided that it would be reasonable to deal with the issue after the electoral college convened for the presidential elections on Saturday, Sept. 24.
"We will deal with clarifying and bringing the party's financial issues to order after the presidential elections' electoral college," stated Karilaid.
