Photos, video: Moose spotted in Pirita Woods
Two young moose were caught on camera and video moving around Pirita River Valley Landscape Protection Area in Tallinn on Monday.
According to ERR reporter Grete-Liina Roosve, who was moving along a fitness trail in the area, one of the two moose got as close as 7-8 meters from her before turning around and running away.
While Pirita Woods, located in Tallinn's Pirita District, may seem an appropriate enough place for the moose, recent weeks have seen other wildlife sightings in the capital city as well.
Approximately two weeks ago, a mother bear and her cubs were spotted in the capital city's Haabersti District, while last Wednesday, a family of common merganser, a species of seaduck, were caught on camera in Tallinn's Town Hall Square.
