ABB's Tallinn shared service center to hire 100 this year
The regional shared service center of global industrial group ABB opened in Tallinn's tech hub Ülemiste City last October will take on up to 100 new staff members in 2017.
"We'll hire approximately 100 people for the service center this year," ABB Estonia communications specialist Sven Sommer told BNS. "The final number will depend on other countries' plans for the relocation of their financial, supply chain and personnel operations to Estonia."
Finding staff for the service center was not very difficult and there were enough candidates, Bo Henriksson, managing director of ABB Baltics, told BNS in January.
ABB announced in October 2016 that the Tallinn center would create more than 400 jobs within two years.
The Tallinn regional shared service center is one of six such centers that ABB has established or is in the process of establishing globally in order to bring to gether and streamline support services that were previously provided separately in 68 countries. The center, which currently employs approximately 200 people provides support to the financial, personnel and supply chain operations of the group.
