In total, 350 tests were analysed for the COVID-19 causing SARS-CoV-2 virus.

As of Thursday morning, seven patients are being treated in hospital, of whom one is on ventilation. No COVID-19 linked death cases were reported in the last 24 day. In total, the coronavirus has caused the deaths of 69 persons in Estonia.

In total, 385 persons have been discharged from hospitals and 385 disease cases have been closed.

To date, 1,790 persons have recovered from the disease. There are estimated to be 20 active cases currently.

The total number of positive tests recorded in Estonia is 1,984 (1.9 percent).

There were no new cases reported on Sunday and Monday, and one each day on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The Health Board reminds everyone that hand hygiene, social distancing and staying home when sick are still important measures to follow. The coronavirus is spread mainly from person-to-person, usually via close contact with an infected person. Close contact is seen as a situation where people are closer than 2 metres to each other for the duration of 15 minutes.

COVID-19 is a droplet infection caused by SARS-CoV-2 that spreads through sneezing and coughing from people to people, and by way of contaminated surfaces and unwashed hands.
