Gallery: Ellen von Unwerth's fashion photography exhibit at Fotografiska
Starting February 19, an exhibition of the works of fashion photographer Ellen von Unwerth has opened at the Fotografiska cafe-museum. The exhibit will be open until May 30.
The exhibition is called "Devotion! 30 Years of Photographing Women", a collection of works from well-known German fashion photographer Ellen von Unwerth.
According to Fotografiska's webpage, there has been no shortage of international models to pose in front of von Unwerth's cameras. "The exhibition 'Devotion! 30 Years of Photographing Women' is presented in series reflecting some emotional expressions: love, play, power, gender, lust, passion and drama," Fotografiska adds.
Ellen von Unwerth explains her work own work to be energetic and moving, similar to life itself. "Much improves greatly if you play around with it. Don't take things so seriously. Let life come to you instead of trying to control everything. I want energy and movement in my images, because that's how life is. You can't control it. It will always surprise you, if you let it, instead of constantly labelling experiences as either good or bad,"
The exhibition is available to the public until May 30.
