The Estonian State Concert Institute Eesti Konsert celebrates the 85th birthday of Ukrainian pianist and composer Valentyn Silvestrov with a "Discover!" series concert.
The pianist Hando Nahkur performs Valentyn Silvestrov's "Bagatelles" op. 1-5 and "Distant music" (Entfernte Musik.)
Sylvestrov is arguably the most well-known Ukrainian composer of our times, whose beautiful, slightly melancholic and slow music is appreciated worldwide. The concert is dedicated to his 85th birthday.
The concert will take place in three cities: on November 15 at the Vanemuise Concert Hall in Tartu, on November 16 at the Jõhvi Concert Hall and on November 17 at the Estonia Concert Hall in Tallinn.
The concert is free for Ukrainian refugees. On the basis of an identity document (passport or a temporary residence permit card), the ticket can be collected at the concert location one hour before the start of the performance.
