The 3rd International Random Film Festival - an undertaking that celebrates the flukiness of cinema - will take place in the tiny Harju County village of Anija from March 10 to 11.

According to organizers, this year’s location was chosen at the closing ceremony of the 2011 festival in Poland using Wikipedia’s Random Article Button and an online number generator.

The main aim of the undertaking is to draw attention to the naive belief that program selection at large film festivals is fair and square. For instance, young filmmakers constantly seek approval from such events without questioning the selection methods, the organizers said.

The festival's program  - once again chosen at random - consists of 26 films from 11 countries, including an Estonian documentary, “Häädemeeste UFO,” by Eero Urmas.

Before the festival starts, a Random Talent Campus will be held in Tallinn from March 6 to 7 to give festival-goers a chance to participate in film-related workshops and voice their opinions concerning festival policies and competition in the creative arts.
