July 1 deadline for declaring gifts, donations, other income
Associations benefiting from an income tax incentive are required to file their declaration on the usage of gifts and donations in 2019 on Wednesday at the latest, according to the Estonian Tax and Customs Board (Maksu ja tolliamet).
Said associations are to declare all their income and the usage thereof in a gifts and donations usage declaration form INF 9, the Tax and Customs Board said.
The information must also be submitted if the association did not receive or use any income in 2019. The declaration can be filed via the Tax and Customs Board's online environment, by mail or at a service bureau.
Gifts and donations usage declarations are public information enabling donors to check if their donations are being used for their intended purpose.
If an association has not filed their reports or declarations for three consecutive years, they may be removed from the list of associations benefiting from income tax incentives, as a result of which, they are no longer subject to the said incentive.
The requirements for staying on the list of associations benefiting from income tax incentives as well as instructions for filling in the INF 9 form can be found on the website of the Tax and Customs Board or requested via the information phone for business customers.
