TMW 2020, which runs from August 27-30, is to have "city stages" at the Viru Keskus and Nordic Hotel Forum in central Tallinn, in front of Telia's headquarters in Kristiine, and at the Laagna community garden in Lasnamäe, as well as at locations in the Kalamaja and Kopli neighborhoods of North Tallinn.

The event will follow regulations for public events as they appear in late August. At the time of writing, outdoor events are capped at 2,000 participants, indoor events at 1,500 or 50 percent capacity, whichever is the lower.

Organizers say audience dispersal and capacity limits will be monitored to allow social distancing, and that people who have tested positive for coronavirus in the preceding 14 days, as well as those displaying symptoms or who have been in close contact with infected people in the previous two weeks, will be barred from entry.

The event starts on Thursday, August 27 at 4 p.m. in the Viru Keskus atrium, with performances from Estonian folk-electronica duo Puuluup and Latvian indie rockers Carnival Youth. Viru Keskus hosts six city stage gigs throughout the festival, including two U.K. acts, singer-producer Chinchilla, and post punk band Strange Idols. 

On the Saturday, events in Lasnamäe and Kopli take place, including a co-production with the Koplifest community festival, hosted at a former rubber factory.

The Nordic Hotel Forum hosts an intimate suite performance by the award-winning Finnish urban artist Jesse Markin and Telia headquarters forecourt hosts Estonian supergroup Gram-of-Fun on the opening day.

Port Noblessner and the Telliskivi Creative City, including the Põhjala Tap Room, host acts from Estonia and abroad, as do the Sveta Baar and the Velvet design bureau.

A TMW info desk is open from Monday, August 24 through to the end of the festival, close to the Tammsaare Park entrance to the Viru Keskus. Pass holders can pick up wristbands and get general assistance on the festival program there.

City stage concerts are free of charge and open to all age groups.

TMW 2020 is presented by Telia, and the festival is supported by the Ministry of Culture, Cultural Endowment, the Tallinn City Culture Department, the Tallinn City Enterprise Department, and Enterprise Estonia (EAS). TMW's international activities are also supported by funds from the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).
