National football team for upcoming matches unveiled
National football team manager Thomas Häberli has called up 26 players to represent Estonia in three international matches set to be played in June.
In general, the line-up consists of national team mainstays and veterans. Many players who had to miss matches due to a positive coronavirus case in March are once again back in the national team, including players in foreign clubs, such as Karl Jakob Hein, Karol Mets, Artur Pikk, Joonas Tamm, Vlasi Sinjavski, Maksim Paskotši, Mattias Käit and Vladislav Kreida.
Ken Kallaste and Erik Sorga will miss the international window of matches due to health reasons. Mihkel Aksalu, Frank Liivak, Rauno Alliku and Hindrek Ojamaa are listed as back-ups, prepared to join the team operatively.
The Estonian national team will head to Lithuania for a Baltic tournament match on June 1 and will then head to Finland for a friendly match on June 4. The national team will finish the trio of matches against Latvia in Tallinn on June 10. All matches will begin at 7 p.m. and are broadcast on ETV2.
