Lux Express to return to regular schedule on Tartu-Tallinn route next week
Starting next Friday, Estonian intercity bus operator Lux Express will restore its pre-pandemic schedule on the Tallinn-Tartu route, adding additional departures later in the evenings and also six departures of half-hour intervals.
Ingmar Roos, business manager of Lux Express, said: "We are monitoring daily demand and restoring departures regularly."
The company has added departures on national routes since mid-April.
Currently, the last departure of the day from Tartu to Tallinn is at 8 p.m., but starting next Friday, departures at 9 p.m. from both cities will be reintroduced Starting June 29, the company will also add six departures every half-hour on the route.
Before the pandemic, the last departure of the day from Tartu was at 10 p.m.
Roos added: "Over the next 10 days, we will restore departures on Tallinn-Haapsalu-Tallinn, Tartu-Pärnu-Tartu and Tallinn-Narva-Tallinn routes. Additionally, 12 p.m. departures on Tartu-Narva and 4.30 p.m. departures on Narva-Tartu will again become a daily occurrence."
