President's office requests €1 million for IT, human development report

The Office of the President is requesting an additional €865,031 from the Ministry of Finance to cover the costs of the Estonian Human Development Report and ICT development between 2022-2025.

Costs for ICT will rise by €251,650 in 2022, €160,233 in 2023, by €166,039 in 2024 and by €172,109 in 2025, the president's office has said.

The office needs to update its maintenance service, which also requires the creation of an information security manager, whose total salary for four years would be €242,650.

Various license fees will cost €24,000 and €80,000 will be set aside for administration.

Additionally, €25,000 will be used to test the citizen initiative portal rahvaalgatus.ee.

The president's office is also asking for a total of €115,000 for the publication of the Estonian Human Development Report in 2020/2023 so editors' salaries can be increased.
