The Viking Faster (FSTR) high-speed catamaran of shipper Viking Line has canceled all Monday departures on its Tallinn-Helsinki route due to an engine failure.

All planned departures from either port have been canceled.

"An engine failure was detected on Sunday evening," Johanna Boijer-Svahnström, vice president of corporate communications at Viking Line, told Finnish news agency STT. "It is nothing serious, but does require a day of maintenance."

According to Boijer-Svahnström, the ship also experienced a small failure last week, but added that these two matters were unrelated.
