Three American tourists were injured in Old Town this morning when a lamppost fell over onto them.

At 9:09, a tourist bus letting off passengers on Falgi street backed up against a street light and knocked it over onto the sidewalk, according to a press release from the police. Two suffered head injuries and the third a leg injury.

The injured tourists, two women and one man, were taken to a hospital.

According to Delfi, one person was in a severe condition. The tourists were reportedly walking in a group of 30 who had arrived in Tallinn by cruise ship for a one-day stay.

The bus driver passed a sobriety test.
