Tartu bar patron tests positive for coronavirus
A Tartu bar says a customer who visited the establishment on Saturday, August 1 has tested positive for coronavirus.
The Möku bar in Estonia's second city, site of a recent COVID-19 pandemic mostly centering on a nightclub, wrote on its social media account that: "We got confirmation today that on Saturday, August 1, a person visited who tested positive for COVID-19 yesterday."
Möku, located on Magasini street in the city center, is asking anyone who visited the bar last Saturday to monitor their health and call a family doctor and stay home if symptoms present.
Möku says they place hand sanitizers in the bathrooms as well as by external doors.
Security will also prevent entry if the bar is getting too full to allow social distancing, the bar says.
The recent outbreak in Tartu is centered around Vabank nightclub and Naiiv bar. The Health Board (Terviseamet) said on Wednesday that 33 cases are connected to Vabank and a further 15 to a separate party at Naiiv.
In both cases, people visited the venues with symptoms but not having taken tests for the virus.
