Archaeologists have uncovered 11 skeletons during renovation work at Tallinn's Church of Our Lady of Kazan on Liivalaia Street.

Archaeologist Martin Malve said the skeletons date from between 1720 and 1770. The archaeological excavations will last for about a week.

Malve explained the skeletons were found there because there was once a cemetery in the churchyard.

Restoration work is currently being carried out at the church.
