Finns bought 26 million liters of alcohol in Estonia in 2020

Despite the coronavirus pandemic, Finns still traveled to Estonia last year to buy cheap alcohol, the Finnish Federation of the Brewing and Soft Drinks Industry said on Friday.
The federation said in a press release that last year, Finns' ferry trips to Estonia decreased by 66 percent, the import of alcohol decreased by only about a third.
Approximately 26 million liters of alcoholic beverages were brought back from Estonia last year, which is 11 million liters less than in 2019.
Last year, 40 percent of passengers said that the low price level was the only or a significant reason to travel by ferry to Estonia.
These results emerged from an interview-based survey by the analysis center TAK Oy on the travel of Finns to Estonia.
