RB Rail announces competition to fill 90 expert positions
RB Rail, the company established to build the Rail Baltic rail link from the Estonian capital to the Lithuanian-Polish border, has announced an open competition to form a pool of up to approximately 90 external experts.
RB Rail will select experts in altogether 32 fields of expertise such as the environment, spatial planning, engineering surveying, design, construction management, business and economics. The required expertise is related to railway planning and design as well as railway business.
The hired experts will be involved in various tasks for the Rail Baltic Global Project management, small-scale studies and technical support, preparation of procurements and subsequently in contract management.
The deadline for submitting applications is June 29.
RB Rail AS is a joint venture established in October 2014 between Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. Holding equal shares in RB Rail AS are Latvian company Eiropas Dzelzceļa līnijas SIA, Lithuanianc ompany Rail Baltica statyba UAB and Estonian company Rail Baltic Estonia OÜ.
RB Rail AS is the central coordinator for the Rail Baltic railway project, which involves the construction of a high speed rail line from Tallinn to the Lithuanian-Polish border. The connection will be an electrified public use rail line enabling speeds of up to 120 kilometers per hour for freight trains and 240 kilometers per hour for passenger trains.
EU co-financing is expected to account for 80-85 percent of the estimated total investment of €5.8 billion.
