Estonian rally driver Egon Kaur and co-driver Erik Lepikson will race in the second event of the British Rally Championship, the Bulldog Rally in northern Wales, this weekend.
“The British season is competitive and it draws attention from elsewhere in Europe [...] It is a good opportunity for us to race again because there's been a long pause,” said Kaur, who will be at the wheel of a Ford Fiesta R2.
But he said it is too early to say anything about the rest of the year, reported Ruudulipp.ee. “At the moment, this is a single stint in the British Championship. We are still working out plans for the remainder of the season. We need to race - that's clear. But it is unclear where,” said Kaur.
The Estonian rally driver last competed in the WRC Academy class of the 2011 World Rally Championship season. He began rally racing in 2004. Last year, he was one of 12 drivers selected for the first FIA Institute Young Driver Excellence Academy.
