Construction in Sillamäe uncovers human remains
The reconstruction of Sillamäe's Kesktänav uncovered human remains on Monday, archaeologists will now study the skeleton for further information.
The remains were found on June 1 and construction around the area was immediately stopped.
Kalle Merilai, Ida-Viru County adviser with the National Heritage Board, said that archaeologists will arrive at the site in the near future to determine the age and archaeological value of the findings.
Reconstruction in Sillamäe started on April 16 and will finish next year with the reconstruction of the intersection between Kesktänav and Pavlov Street.
