70 new HIV infections this year
According to the Health Board, there have been 70 new HIV infections so far this year.
As of Mar. 31, 2017, 32 people have been diagnosed with HIV in Tallinn, 13 in Ida-Viru County excluding Narva, 10 in Narva, five in Tartu County, two each in Harju and Pärnu County, and one each in Lääne County, Lääne-Viru County, Saaremaa, Viljandi County, and Võru County, the Health Board reported on Monday.
This brings the total number of diagnosed HIV cases in Estonia to 9,562, some 500 of which are suffering from AIDS.
